Microsoft Xbox & Nico Nico Live: Online News Identity
Small in scale and with a limited lifespan Microsoft teamed with Nico Nico Live, an online broadcasting agency, to produce an online magazine promoting the powerful latest generation home entertainment console to their target audience for its upcoming Japanese launch in Autumn/Winter 2014.
My role was to incorporate the tone and manner of the well established Xbox identity with that of an entertaining news channel in the final design. The end result is a mark that is approachable, positive and simple to replicate in various media.
The site focused on the Xbox One's games by promoting competitions and activities in the lead up to the lucrative Winter holiday season. Throughout its lifespan many of the events received regular news exposure as seen below.
